Basis of the project:

“As storytellers, we need to not only find credible information about our stories and audiences, but we need think through and plan our stories and know our material well enough to succinctly describe it. And remember what you’ve learned from Lisa Cron, including: “We are always looking for the why beneath what’s happening on the surface.”

So for this assignment, you must come up with a story you would like to tell. It could be the framework for a project you want to work on in your SMAD concentration courses (such as an ad campaign, a long-form journalistic piece, a documentary, an app or website, or a short film you want to produce). It could be any form of story, about any topic.

You won’t actually produce the project, but you will lay the foundation. This includes doing basic research for your idea by locating and analyzing a dozen sources”
